Since 1975, M.VUILLIOT Philippe raises "Ile de France", but it is only in 1985 that it has the advisability of taking again the troop of M.CAMU (CA), selectionnor in the Ardennes since 1945. Currently, the herd counts 350 registered ewes, by the skew of creation; a new sheep-fold in 2008.

The lambing begins in October to finish in November: 90% of the births take place between October 5 and November 5. The rate of prolificity of the breeding is since 1985 around the 190% natural. The growth of the lambs gives an idea of the dairy value of the herd.

The lambs are separated as from January at the 3 months age. Only 1/3 of the males (50-60) are kept as reproductive to be sold during September out of registered rams with the herd book. 80% of ewe-lambs are kept: a part (60) for the renewal of the herd, and the remainder (40) for the sale with other stockbreeders, who want to improve the genetic level of their herd, as from February.

The other lambs leave in butchery January at at the end of February at the age 3 to 4 months, for a weight of carcass of 21 kg average. The 1st criteria of selection of the reproducers of the breeding are:

1) the gauge: one needs animals with size without losing conformation

2) a good thick framework, without problem of balance

3) of the long animals and with a good line of back

4) the muscular development: the Ile de France east one of the best races bouchères, and it must remain it.

5) of the animals without horns with a good head, not too charged teases of them (merino) nor too discovered.

6) a fine and thick wool which fully plays its part of insulator against the bad weather (heat and rain).

7) of the interesting genetic values: prolificity and dairy value.

On the medical level, the herd is unscathed of ovine brucellosis, visna maedi and trembling.

The breeding has male reproducers and females all the year.
